The first legal export
112 kg, flagged off from Guwahati
Flagged off on 13 May 2026 from the cargo terminal at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati — cleared under a CITES permit and a restricted export licence from the DGFT, and enabled by the Assam Agarwood Promotion Policy, 2020.
The MJI presentation describes this as Assam's first legally approved agarwood export.

MJI Group’s journey began with an Agarwood nursery and grew into its own plantation and its own manufacturing and distillation plant for agar oil, essential oils, perfumes and oudh in Assam, India — with a vision to tap into the rich heritage of a region renowned for its natural resources and distinctive cultural traditions. Its full potential had long remained untapped; MJI was determined to change that.
